Channings Hotel in Edinburgh offers a warm, friendly and charming venue for your wedding and your wedding party in Scotland.

We want you to enjoy your wedding day in Edinburgh to the full, and we also want you to have fun planning it. It's our mission to help you achieve both of these, because we know just how special this time is, and how important this day is to you. We have the venue, the people and the expertise to make your wedding a worry-free, memorable and thoroughly romantic experience.

Channings Hotel is licensed to hold religious and Humanist ceremonies. These are usually conducted in The Kingsleigh and Library, our wood-panelled, Edwardian rooms in which seating can be arranged to create an aisle. After this, you and your guests - of up to 50 - will move into a private suite or the sun terrace for champagne or cocktails.

If your wedding plans include a formal, private lunch or dinner, we have three spaces, each with its own character: the elegant, Edwardian Kingsleigh Room, the luscious, green Terrace and the cool, contemporary Channings Conservatory, any of which can be taken for exclusive use.  You are then welcome to invite further guests and bring your evening to a perfect close with an evening reception of up to 100 in our conservatory.

At the start of the planning process, you will be appointed with your own Wedding Coordinator, who will help with all or part of the organisation (as much as you want). This can include: stationery, flowers, car hire, wedding cake, photography, menus, drinks, music and entertainment. Our Wedding Coordinators are also very good at coming up with one-off ideas that help make your day a unique and memorable experience for you and your guests. The planning stage will include a meeting with the Head Chef, to discuss menu possibilities.

Channings Hotel is well located for photo opportunities: we have South Learmonth Gardens at the front and our own leafy garden and sundeck at the back, as well as the luxury bridal suite, as attractive backdrops for the happy couple, families and friends.

To make the experience even better, we would recommend that you book one of Channings' luxury suites or spacious, inviting rooms for your wedding night or your honeymoon. There really is no more relaxing and friendly way to start your married life in Scotland.
