The Whites:
Floral, Zesty & Fruity. Wines which are delicate, uplifting with zip in their souls.

1. Chenin Blanc, Veldt Range - South Africa 2007 15.50
The aromas are reminiscent of melon and honey with soft tropical fruit flavours dominating the palate and an elegant, refreshing acidity on the finish.

2. Sauvignon Blanc Les Carisannes Loire - France 2006 17.95
Fresh stone fruits on the nose, followed by a zingy citrus fruit character with a hint of creaminess on the palate.

3. Muscadet Sur Lie Vieilles Vignes, La Folliette - Loire 2006 17.95
Classic Muscadet, bottled off the 'lees' for extra freshness and flavour. Crisp, dry and with long lasting flavour.

4. Viognier, virginie la grange - Southern France 2006 18.50
The elusive Viognier grape variety gives a wonderful perfumed, subtle
wine with a peachy apricot character. A memorable glass of wine .

5. Petit Chablis, Domaine du Colombier 2006 - Burgundy France 26.50
Classic Petit Chablis. The nose is loaded with minerals, citrus, white flower
aromas with hints of wet stone. Minerally, tight and racy with cool flavours
and perfect balance.

6. Macon Uchizy, Domaine Talmard - Burgundy, France 2006 27.95
No oak, just fresh green apple and nut flavour with just a touch of
honey. Full of character and clean fruit, this is one of the best value
white Burgundies around.

7. Riesling, Hugel, Alsace - France 2005 31.50
With expressive spring flower aromas, the wine shows a clean, lively,
refreshing character on the palate with crisp, mouthwatering stoney,
citrus fruit flavours. 


The Whites:
Rich, Soft & Mellow. Comforting and ample to seduce the senses.

8. Paradosso Inzolia/ Chardonnay - Italy 2006 16.50
Fresh stone fruits on the nose, followed by a zingy citrus fruit character with a hint of creaminess on the palate.

9. Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ema - Chile 2007 16.95
A brilliantly clear wine, straw yellow in colour with perfumed aromas that are fruity, fresh and light.

10. Pinot Grigio, La Casada - Italy 2007 17.95
Wonderful cream soda nose, crisp lively acidity backed by classic flavours of melon, peach kernels and a slightly spicy finish.

11. "Muscat, Malvasia & Viura" Lilbalis, Castello de Maetierra - Spain 2006 24.50
An explosion of fruit on the nose (peach, pineapple, passion fruit and banana). In the mouth it is fruity, dense, syrupy and well balanced.

12. Gavi La Zerba - Italy 2007 28.75
This is discreet Gavi and very much not of the current fashion for high alcohol and oak. It is lovely and pure with a perfumed nose of honeysuckle and pear, balanced by some tropical fruit flavours and lovely mineral fresh acidity.

13. Pouilly Fumé Patrice Moreux - Loire, France 2006 28.95
Wonderful concentration of fresh gooseberry and cut grass aromas with classic smokey, apple tart nose, nice full palate with good balance. A super food wine.

14. Sancerre Blanc Domaine Brochard - Loire, France 2007 32.50
The wine offers grapefruit, lime, spice and mineral notes. On the palate you find fresh citrus, honey, spices, minerals and even a hint of herbal teas. Over all this is beautifully balanced with good length. 


The Whites:
Full, Aromatic and Flavoursome. Distinctive and forceful wines giving unashamed pleasure.

15. Chardonnay Reserve, santa ema - Chile 2005 21.95
Rich, luscious, weighty, fruity Chardonnay with the tell tale presence of new oak. However this is no oak domination. Its fruit and acidity are beautifully married.

16. Pinot Blanc, Hugel & Fils - Alsace, France 2004 20.50
Perfect all round wine with delicious ripe tropical fruit on the nose and juicy melons on the palate with a hint of spice, giving a soft full flavour with a clean dry finish

17. Sauvignon Blanc, Three Stones - New Zealand 2007 26.95
A zesty and delicious wine from Marlborough. Flavours of passion fruit and gooseberry combine with mouth-watering acidity, creating a truly refreshing wine.

18. Louis Semillon, Henschke - Eden Valley, Australia 2005 29.50
Sweet, lifted, intense and fragrant with lemon grass, fresh green apples and some minerality on the nose. Rich, full, soft and intense with layers of flavours, crisp acid and excellent length.

19. Balgownie Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2003/04 - Austalia 31.95
Aromas of lemon curd, orange oil, white peach, and a little spicy oak. Lively and vibrant with a bit of attitude. On the palate tight and fine with lemon, white peach, oatmeal and dry flinty flavours. Tangy fresh acidity and a long clean dry citrus finish. Bang on.

The Rosé:

20. Guilhem Rosé, Moulin de Gassac - france 2006 16.95
The Moulin de Gassac wines are farmed organically from hillside vineyards. Expressive, complex strawberry nose, distinctly Mediterranean in character and style. Ample, round, red berried palate with superb length. 


The Reds:
Fruit! Glorious Fruit! Soft centred smoothies, irresistible on their own but brilliant with food.

21. Paradosso Nero D'Avola /Shiraz - Italy 2006 15.50
Spicy red fruits dominate the nose, with a good structure of dark berried character filling the palate

22. Tempranillo, Quintanna - Spain 2005 16.50
Rich, mature fruit on the nose and palate with the classic hint of chocolate found in good Tempranillo. Oak ageing has added complexity and mellowness to the wine.

23. Rioja Heredad de Altillo Crianza - Spain 2003 17.95
Medium bodied with very soft tannins, black and red berries on the nose and palate, fruity, modern style of Rioja.

24. Barbera Piemonte, Cantine Aurora - Italy 2005 18.50
The little brother of Barolo this north Italian gem is a medium bodied wine with soft cherry fruit on the nose and palate.

25. Three Stones Merlot/Cabernet, Hawkes Bay - New Zealand 2004 30.75
Made of a nearly equal proportion of both grapes, this smooth and velvety stunner is an immediately appealing wine. A elegant combination of redcurrant, blackberry and dark plums, with a slightly savoury finish.

26. Chianti Classico, Bibbiano - Italy 2005 28.95
A great example of Chianti that shows the Sangiovese grape in its spiritual home, and arguably at its best. It's a medium bodied wine that would stand up not only to the cured meats of Tuscany, but to most hearty fare. 

The Reds:
Full, Velvety & Round - Generous and Intense wines in which texture and flavour combine wonderfully.

27. Malbec, Don Cristobal - Argentina 2005 19.50
Intense and bright red purplish tones. Fine and elegant aroma with a
perfect combination of ripe red fruits and spices, enriched by the use of
French oak. On the palate, it is balanced with soft tannins.

28. Cabernet Sauvignon, santa ema - Chile 2006 16.95
Plums and velvety notes from mature tannins give this wine a
varietal character that combines perfectly with the vanilla, toasty
wood of maturation. A wine of great structure and complexity.

29. Merlot Reserva, Santa Ema - Chile 2005 23.95
Mature blackberry and blueberry flavours together with sweet,
toasty notes. A perfect union of fruit and wood, it is an elegant
and structured wine with a good finish.

30. Château Franc Cormeil - St Emilion France 2005 29.95
An appealing, complex nose of undergrowth and fruits. On the palate,
a full-bodied wine with the firm backbone typical of the cabernet grape
and a long finish with beautiful aromas.

31. Syrah, Domaine de Thelin - France 2005 18.25
Syrah is the red grape of the Rhone valley and this is definitely a 'Rhone Ranger' in style, showing all the characteristics of a classic Syrah - big, dry, rich, peppery and smooth.

32. Chateau Puygeraud, Cotes des Francs - Bordeaux 2003 31.95
An outstanding wine with terrific ripeness, loads of black fruits and cherry aromas, with hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a delicious finish


The Reds:
Hearty, Aromatic & Toothsome. An infusion of deep cherry and damson fruit in these stylish stunners.

33. Shiraz, The Veldt Range - South Africa 2006 19.50
A soft and voluptuous Shiraz displaying ripples of spice and black pepper. A subtle nuance of oak gives additional body and structure to this eminently drinkable wine.

34. Sangiovese, Ceravolo Estate, Adelaide Plains - Australia 2004 25.95
You will be astonished by the fabulous, bursting flavours of fruit, of cherries, plums, blackcurrants. It's also beautifully balanced. Unbelievable good value.

35. Pinot Noir, Burnt Spur - Martinborough - New Zealand 2006 33.50
A benchmark Kiwi Pinot that really asks questions of Burgundy at the same price. Bright red cherry nose with hints of toast and forest floor aromas lead to a supple palate with a concentrated round ripe cherry core of fruit surrounded by fine grained tannins and finishing with long silky texture.

36. Johann`s Garden Grenache Mourvédre Shiraz Henschke - Australia 2003 33.95
Aromas of sweet, lifted, spicy blueberries, plums, blackberries and anise with stone-fruit and floral hints. Showing soft, rich and bright spicy peppery fruit on the palate. Juicy and lush with layers of velvety tannins and great length.

37. Ripper Creek, Cabernet Shiraz, Rusden, Barossa Valley - Australia  2003 38.95
A big, harmonious, dense purple-colored red displaying a sweet perfume of black and red fruits intermixed with incense, cedar, pepper, and spice. Weighty yet beautifully balanced and elegant.

Soft, elegant style - deep, luscious purple colour and complex fruit. On the nose there is intense, youthful raspberry fruit and a touch of spice. The palate is soft, rounded and silky.
